Dr. Cox's family always had a farm in Chilton County while he was growing up. So when he graduated from Auburn University in 1985 he knew he wanted to return to the area and immediately opened his pet hospital on 7th Street North. His practice is still located there today. He is married to Melanie Parker Cox, they have 5 children and 12 grand-children. In the years since opening his hospital, at one time or another, you could always find his wife or one of their children working here. The hospital has always maintained a 'family atmosphere'.

Marilyn is Dr. Cox’s assistant and office manager. She plays and important role in everything that goes on at the hospital. After 20 years as Dr. Cox right arm she has the knowledge to run the office and help every client at the same time. She has 1 son in college, a cat and 2 dogs you are likely to see at the office. 

Connie grew up in Chilton county and is the licensed Veterinary Technician at the clinic. She also has a Bachelor of Science and an Associates of applied Science under her belt.  She has been with Dr. Cox for 4 years and has over 10 years' experience in the industry. She knows all the tips and tricks. She picks up quick and has kept her drive to learn new things. She is and animal lover at heart and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She has 2 young sons and 4 dogs that adore her.

Katelyn has been with our office for 3 years and is the glue that holds us together. She takes care of all the fur babies that come and stay with us as if they were her own, all while assisting Dr. Cox around the office. She is incredibly smart and talented and a huge asset to our clinic. She has 2 dogs and many cats.

Jana has been with our office for a year now, and we don't know what we ever did without her. She is great at customer service, scheduling appointments, and making sure the office runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Her personality and smile is guaranteed to make your day better. She has a big heart for animals and has 2 dogs and a cat of her own at home. She is married with one daughter who absolutely loves her! 

April is the newest member of our team. She does an amazing job at keeping the kennel clean and organized. Whether your pet is vacationing with us or hospitalized, she is very attentive to the individual needs of each one. She has many years' experience with animals and her love for them shows through her work. She has 2 sons, one of which is proudly serving in our military overseas.
